Kate Bush is wonderful inspiration ♥ Charles has such a hard face to draw, originally almost scrapped this as I thought it was so awkward and I had messed it up facially, not enough emotion there. Though I need to draw a follow up to this of forgiveness and reconciliations, that will hold more emotions. Had to put their radar dish in there XD
I really want to change my style....

on 2011-06-30 08:34 pm (UTC)I've been looking at a few comics artists I admire like Adam Hughes. I realised looking that I draw my emotions too subtle, as I try to be too realistic. That tutorial is fantastic though. It's one reason I wish to change my style, because simplifying things and being more cartoony makes expressions easier to form.

Thank you, I really wanted the weather to reflect the mood of each monet. Like the first is a sunset, as Erik is learning control, and we all know what will happen in a few days time. And, of course the last being all blustery and dark, but with a sunrise coming in. Oh, and thank you ever so much for the rec, that was so lovely of you ♥

on 2011-07-01 10:51 am (UTC)With the hot weather we've been having, I was very nostalgic for autumn leaves and sunsets. Kind of based it on an old memory of being in York with my best mate, sitting out getting really drunk watching over the moors. Helps visualize so much XD
♥ I adore that lady so much. Downloaded her whole discography, I forgot how beautiful Cloudbursting is. Ha-ha I remember when I was young making a prat out of myself trying to sing Wuthering Heights, I CANNOT SING HIGH PITCHED AT ALL XD
