Sorry, I'm spamming with art again. Because of my computer problems I've been really bored, I draw a lot when bored.

Kate Bush is wonderful inspiration ♥ Charles has such a hard face to draw, originally almost scrapped this as I thought it was so awkward and I had messed it up facially, not enough emotion there. Though I need to draw a follow up to this of forgiveness and reconciliations, that will hold more emotions. Had to put their radar dish in there XD

I really want to change my style....

Ahhhh, this pairing doesn't normally get to me on a visceral level, but that second one makes my heart all clenchy.

These are lovely. I still need to see that movie though.

Maybe you should check out some other artists' portfolios for a while and look at the way they work to get ideas. I don't know if you follow many webcomics, but Tracy has a FANTASTIC tutorial on expressions here (http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/exhibit.php?exhibitid=333)

I've been looking at a few comics artists I admire like Adam Hughes. I realised looking that I draw my emotions too subtle, as I try to be too realistic. That tutorial is fantastic though. It's one reason I wish to change my style, because simplifying things and being more cartoony makes expressions easier to form.

Thank you, I really wanted the weather to reflect the mood of each monet. Like the first is a sunset, as Erik is learning control, and we all know what will happen in a few days time. I hate you for making me look at these because YOU KNOW MY FEELINGS ABOUT ERIK.

But the first one especially is something quite special, I think. I can just taste the sunset and that cold autumn air. I love the little bird as well, and their expressions.

I can feel Kate Bush in these pictures, definitely.

With the hot weather we've been having, I was very nostalgic for autumn leaves and sunsets. Kind of based it on an old memory of being in York with my best mate, sitting out getting really drunk watching over the moors. Helps visualize so much XD

♥ I adore that lady so much. Downloaded her whole discography, I forgot how beautiful Cloudbursting is. Ha-ha I remember when I was young making a prat out of myself trying to sing Wuthering Heights, I CANNOT SING HIGH PITCHED AT ALL XD

I love drawing both, I think it's because of the movement. One day I really need to draw a superhero shot or something, get this wanting to draw action out of my system XD Thanks so much *hugs*

I just adore your clothing. I love the texture, and they way the fabric lays. I love the coloring as well. You alway have such rich drawings. They look...touchable.
Also well done on the likeness for each guy. They are really difficult IMO.

They really are, it's a hard struggle to get them right, sometimes I think maybe I try too hard at it, that i should relax more.

Thanks Shu *hugs you to bits* I've been trying to change how I colour, Lydias painterly style has really inspired me. Ah, the slanting comes from watching too many movies when I was ill, and taking note of how the camera guys frame shots. I'm trying it out on my art, so need to be brave and try more complex perspectives. I'M ALLERGIC THOUGH XD

Eep! You have no idea how much I love these! The first one with Charles's adorable gaze is wonderful but it's the colour of the sky and the mood it gives to the piece that I'm most impressed with. And the second - it makes my heart all clenchy. The look of guilt on Erik's face is just perfect, as is the way Charles is greeting him with nothing but fondness on his.

Aww thank you so much hun ♥ I'm always the first one rushing to the window when ever we have sunsets like that, I've always wanted to try and draw an Autumn sunset. I hate to break hearts, though i'm really happy you know Erik's feeling so much guilt (I was sure he looked more consitpated LOL) I figured it's a year after the first picture, so Charles has had time to relax more into his situation and forgive.

This is absolutely beautiful- I love it. I especially love the second one, where Erik looks sad/guilty and Charles is his normal calm, forgiving self. If they do make a second movie, I hope that's how their first scene plays out emotion wise. Thank you so much for sharing!
