I’m a bit depressed today. It’s to do with the fact I’m old and don’t have a job and have NOTHING in my life. To be honest it’s scary. I think I’ll be stuck at home till I die and I don’t want that. I had dreams, I wanted to be a comic artist or do designs for games companies and for a little while I did work in design before I fucked things up royally. Now I realise I’m not that good an artist and that has killed any motivation I have, I may as well accept that job in Macdonald’s and get used to the fact that’s all I’ll ever be. I hate my life T_T

Kay better go into town as i have to go to the job center and depress myself even more.

It's a horrible thing not knowing where your life is going, I hope you can find something like im searching for *hugs*

But thanks Manda ♥ I’ve just been comparing myself to some people on Deviant art who are amazing, but it’s the opposite that got me down because one of my best friends has got a job illustrating a book and T-shirts and I hate to say this as I love her to bits but she can’t draw, she always traces (she even used on of my ideas but I was too nice to say so) and it gets me down that I can’t seem to get anywhere like she can. I have to keep trying though and yeah at least I can do it for fun till something comes up. I just really, really don’t want to work in a factory or McDonalds like the job centre is pushing me to do D:

Is it a confidence problem? Like with interviews and stuff? Because maybe you could ask the job center if you can get any help and advice for those. If like me you end up on job seekers for more than 6 months they'll put you on a course for that anyway.

I'd hold out for a retail position at least, even if there's not many going now, come September though they'll be doing their Christmas hiring, so try handing out CV's and sending spec letters anywhere you think you might enjoy working (or would more than McDonalds XD; ). It suks but sometimes you gotta do the bad stuff just to get by.

I do lack it sometimes but I'm okay with interviews because I've been to so mannnny *dies* But it's just trying to find work I'd like or can do because my allergies stop me from that sometimes. I had to quit working at the cinema because of them, that blew so much ;_; Most of the retail work in Scunny at the moment is only for 6-12 hours a week and I need full time just to cover the train fare into town D: I do have my 6 month interview coming up soon so I'll see what they can do for me. I think I need to look further to towns I can travel to like Lincoln, Doncaster or Sheffield.

I hope I can jump into working for the games shop come Christmas, I did do HMV last year so I'm going to ask them if they'd have me back for crimbo. I guess I'm just frustrated over the lack of decent jobs right now.

Ohhh, I haven't. Haha, I have an interview coming up for Ventura to work in a call center soon which is making me nervous lol. I don't really want to do it, but the money would be good.

And yeaah, thats my problem, a lot of the work going now is just part-time and I need 30-40 hours really :/

If you worked there before you probably have a good chance of getting hired again, especially if you left a good impression.
