Computer frustrations and Charles/Erik art

Well that is it, my poor computers coughed its last (Stealing mums laptop to post this) I turned it on yesterday for it to make some popping noises, then just not work at all. Been told my whole motherboard and processor have gone ;_; Poor Bodie (yes I named my computer :P), you’ve been with my 4 years, and lived thought my flogging you to death with Photoshop, I’ll miss you. Thank goodness I ordered a new one last week, just waiting on it to be built now ♥

I’m a bit depressed about everything going wrong though, so I’m going to post some art instead, and not bore you with my boring aggravating life, and to distract myself from moaning about my boring aggravating life XD






Who are they looking at? I have no ideas :D Obviously Erik let Charles read the map and they're utterly lost. (I swear I had a story in my head about this scenario somewhere, involving Charles joking about going back to ask the scary guy in the next town over who told them to fuck themselves for directions) 



Not like Erik minds, gives him a chance to distract Charles from sulking.(or obviously he's thinking back on the scary guy who said to fuck themselves, he thinks it's a smashing idea lol) 

I’m always so grouchy toward my own style lately. I’m that old lady in the corner shaking her cane at her own work lol Some days I want to be elegant and draw beautifully delicately inked lines, next I want to be all bouncy and cartoony, another day I want to concentrate on realism. One of these fine days I’ll make my bloody mind up what style I want to draw and stick to it, I know mine is comic book and going outside of that stiffens my work. STAY WITH IT WOMAN!!!! I’m torn between liking these (the colours anyhow) and thinking I was concentrating too much on getting them to look like their actors, there’s just something I can’t pinpoint that’s bothering me about them. I need to relax, go back to my usual comic style and not care so much about getting things right. I did try with the hugging one but still CHARLES IS AN EVIL BUGGER TO DRAW!!! *end art moan*


I started this sketch and just gave up. I like to call it Crapneato, because apparently I think i'm funny lol

Sorry, to those I owe emails and comments to, and more. I am trying to convince my mum to lend me her laptop more often until my computer arrives. Possibly be here by next week, but that's too long a wait. So, hopefully should be back to comment, reply and stick to the commitments I have, especially to Frida and Mel X_X  Best shoot off, i'll be online again as soon as I can.

JESUS, my friend, these are completely amazing. I was just commenting to my ficwife about how much I adore the way your art manages to capture such awesome resemblances for the actors while still being so distinctively stylized. I LOVE THESE. Seriously. *flails happily*

*blushes* Thank you hun ♥ I'm on a bit of a drawing marathon lately, which is good thing as i'm working with 3 lovely writers now *pokes* I'm a huge comic book fan so it always sneaks into my art, not matter how realistic I try to be, it's always there to see in my lines.

How go things with your other two? I'm um. Almost done with this first one. I'll be in a much better place for brainstorming after that ^_^ (I've only gotten one chance to chat with oatmeal_queen... My schedule is so weird I keep missing her, so I've still only got a rough idea what I am writing for that story...)

I blame going onto tumblr too much, there’s only so much McFassy I can take before I’m scrabbling for my pencils. It’s awesome because it means I can come up with all sorts of ideas for you guys ♥ My last BB’s I draw so much, I’m determined to do the same here.

Not much of a start yet as they have commitments to finish, though Fridas come up with a great idea for an AU influenced by Band of Brothers and Atonement, sounds fantastic as I’m a huge fan ♥ Ohhhh I’m so excited, can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with.(ah that sounds like me, can’t wait to get this computer then I can keep up with people and talk more)

*squishes* Hope to not make it a long wait. I’m doodling Erik a lot right now XD

Hey man, we promised to spoil and sneak-preview the hell out of each other, remember? I can't very well be all demanding later if I don't cough up the goods when I have them, right? *wink*

We should totally start brainstorming back and forth about what kind of story/scenes/etc. you want to illustrate (OMG why am I doing this here YOU GAVE ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS FOR A REASON *headdesk*). I am 100% down with your idea of a post-movie AU where humanity proves Charles wrong and Erik right and everyone is broken and there is ANGST AND MANPAIN. It can be vaguely post-apocalyptic, that will make my ficwife happy. ^_^

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO TRY AND KEEP UNDER ADVISEMENT as I start planning strategy for this sucker? Particular themes, happy ending versus not, favorite slash tropes, IMAGES of these two that you are itching to draw and would love me to try and include?

(This last especially - Yana's fic was actually... kind of... kind of REALLY actually... born of the fact that she wanted to draw a couple very specific images in a very specific flavor of scene, and the whole rest of the fic was necessary to get the characters to that point. So truly, I can work with just about anything, so if you've got any particular cravings then this is the perfect time to tell me. ^_^)

Yana's fic is now 22k words, btw. Just to um. Put this all in perspective. *dodgy eyes* IT IS ALMOST DONE THOUGH I SWEAR. I'm going to figure out the ending today, and hopefully have it written by Sunday.
