The American South is a magical place and though I haven't seen a belt buckle like that in some time, I'd have to say it's pretty accurate to my eyeballs. I'm wondering if he won it in a horse show (This is what these large belt buckles are really for. You win something in a rodeo or related activity and instead of a laurel wreath or gold medal, you get a big damn belt buckle.)

That makes me glad to know as I just got the idea of it from what i'd seen in some films so i could have got it all horribly wrong. I just remembered once seeing a concept drawing of a young Bones in a cowboy hat and went with it :)

And it's wonderful to think that could he have won it in a horse show and that he didn't leave everything behind when he was divorced ;) Thanks :D
