Just been to see Harry Potter and despite hearing so much bad news about it, I found it wasn’t that bad. I do miss some scenes that were omitted, like more Tom flashbacks (creepy actors FTW) and the battle at the end, I was so looking forward to that and…nothing…but still it was fun and creepy all at once. Draco was awesome you could really see the anguish of the role he had to play. And Ron cracked me up a lot, when he’d taken the love potion all the audience was laughing and the little girl sat next to me was saying how much she loves Ron too LOL. I missed the Quidditch so it was great to see it back in all its Rugby on broomsticks glory. Though no Weasley is King ;_; (may have to draw that now) And even if we didn’t get the funeral I liked the way they paid respects with their wands.

I want more Luna as I love her :D I wish they'd had Luna narrating the game. That was some funny stuff in the book.

Apparently the last film is going to split into two parts, does this mean the first film will be one long camping scene like the book? LOL

Oh and saw the Sherlock Holmes trailer, its Holmes only more EXTREEM!!!!!! God anyone who watches that film then pics up the books is in for a disappointment ffffffff! Though yay for more RDJ :D

Lol I had NO idea people were complaining about the movie! XD To be honest - I forgot 80% of what the hell was happening in HBP (not a big fan of the last two books), so it was impossible for me to miss much. Did they really cut so many things?

But I missed Weasley Is King, too. As well as Ron's whole painful ordeal as the new keeper. That was so adorable. But then, Ron is adorable. XD

Luna is awesome. Whenever she came on screen, I wanted to brofist her so hard. She only has short scenes but boy does she only say the best lines.

And FUCK YES I want to see "Harry Potter And The Camping Trip That Never Ended" too! All I remember from that is Hermione's lip wibbling as she sits in a tent with Harry for what seems to be ten months. XD

(Not dissing the books, I swear. I like them, I just thought the last two were not as good. ^^*)

Actually, I always thought Canon!Holmes was kinda boring *prepares to get shot*, so maybe New!Holmes is for me?

Yeah a lot of people have been complaining about what's been left out, like a lot of the Tom flashbacks, Bill and Fleur, Slughorn being too wimpy and too much romance ect ect But to be honest I don't mind so much because you have the book for them and not everything can be put into a film.

I think the headbutting of the balls was a painful ordeal enough, i winced for him. He makes red heads awesome again LOL

Luna needs a movie or book all of her own. The actres who plays her has the best 'away with the fairy's' Irish voice ever ♥

Every new chapter I was 'christ not the tent still'!!! At least the final battle will be longer in movie form, RK seemed to not care at all when that came round with her 'Oh by the way Tonks and Remus died, but I couldn't be arsed to write them a scene' WHAT?????? The last book was rushed so badly X_X

Oh Alex it's pistols at dawn for dissing the Holmes LOL Only yeah I think I'll like the new Holmes too because it does look kooky and fun, and I'm all for having more British heroes on the big screen :D

I liked Slughorn better in the movie! He seemed so lonely and sad ... he was such a pompous ass in the book. But then I already rambled on my opinions on the movie. XD And I agree with you. A good adaptation is also a distilled one; it's sad, but you simply CAN'T slavishly include everything!

Oh wait, MATT makes red heads awesome again! XD Well. The both of them really. AND RON CAME FIRST SO. ♥

Oh, she is Irish in the original? That's so awesome. I always watch the German dub version (with Mello's VA as Harry XD), but I need to hear that. Evanna Lynch is so, so cute.

The final battle was actually one of the things I liked about the last book ... I was surprised it was such a blood bath (lolwut kid's book where?), but at least it was intense. Lupin's death was tragic since I really loved him in Azkaban, then he got all weird, and then he died. Kind of a sad decay for such a great character.

But yes, it felt really rushed. Plus the horcrux thing was such a video game twist. I guess the pressure was really crushing down on Rowling at that point.

Lol, okay, to be fair not Holmes, the character. I like him. I just can't handle Conan Doyle's narration. I know, the shame. XD

I agree I felt sorry for Slughorn and can't remember everything but I'm sure I though he seemed a bit pedo in the book? X_X If they included everything you'd have a LOTR situation where you're sat for 10 hours knowing everything that will happen. It makes it more exciting if they don't slavishly follow the books.

I now want to draw Matt meeting Ron LOL

I'm curious now that I want to find the German dub to see how they sound. Awesome probably ♥

That’s why I was gutted that it was so short as it was the only exciting thing to happen in the whole book. Even when harry had his matrix scene I wanted to get back to the battle.

Yeah the books can be a little off putting, but I love the old Basil Rathbone films and any other film or TV incarnation.

Still you me gloves at drawn...heee love ya really Alex ;)

I thought the movie was great. Even though I missed some scenes, especially the flashbacks about Tom Riddle (and no Bill/Fleur ;__; )
But yes, Ron and Luna were made of win. *lol*
I loved Draco, he was so angsty and emo and oh, his manpain. And Hermine and Harry's bffness was like all over the place.
Great stuff. ;)

I was sat all the way through it thinking 'why are people dissing it?' It is bad when they miss out your fave scenes but I guess I'm used to movies doing that. When the Weasleys house got burnt down (sob) I was expecting to see Bill and Fleur then ;_; But it was a good film, I enjoyed it :)

I wanted to hug poor Draco and usually I want to smack him round the head for being an idiot. Tom was great :)

I loved Harry and Hermione as BFF My sister said you'd think they were the couple of the series judging how they were in the movie but I like them being best friends, it shows you can have guys as you best buddies without romance ♥

Oh your icon is that Sam from Doom? :)

Yeah, I don't get it either.

And nooooooo, Hermione and Harry have no UST at all. They're like siblings and I love that. I have a weak spot for best friends or sibling-relationship. ;)
Hermione is probably my favorite HP-character. I adore her so much.

In my head it's not Sam (since I've never seen "DOOM" it's easy tov ignore *g*) but exactly how I imagine Christine Chapel. *g*

Ever since I saw this vid I wanted her as Nurse Chapel. Her chemistry with Karl Urban is just awesome. ;)

I think maybe people expect too much D:

Yeah they have such a loving friendship I would'nt want to ever see that ruined it's so special. I think Hermiones is brilliant in thats she's bright and always seems to save the day by knowing what she's doing when the boys are flapping around too much ♥

Aww that vids so sweet and I approve of your choice for Christine as Rosamund Pike is not only very pretty she makes a great doctor and yeah those two are amazing together in the film, best part really ;) I've seen Doom so all those Doom/Star Trek crossovers I've been reading make me keep seeing Mccoy as future John now *headsdesk*

I'm a big fan of the old Holmes movies so it's a wee shock seeing him acting so badass so I'm torn semi luv ;_; But then again it does look a lot of fun and doesn't take itself so seriously. I mean the bit where he asks the maid to remove the pillow at the end FFFFFF!

Oh that looks awesome ♥ I adored the book so much when I was young, I wanted to be Max so badly and play with the monsters LOL

I haven't been able to see the Potter movie yet, so nothing on that.

But the Holmes trailer... the first time I saw it, it totally induced flailing and horror. I have no idea what they think they're doing. Couldn't they, you know, just make this movie and not pretend it's Sherlock Holmes, since it isn't? *mutters and slinks away*

I completely understand, I'm so torn between being horrified or just trying to shrug it off and accept it for being harmless fun. But your right it's Holmes in name only. I mean what's with the Matrix style bare fist fighting? ;_;

I'll go watch some Basil Rathbone films to compensate :)

I wouldn't mind so much if they weren't using his name. >.>

Heh, I'm not sure you need to atone if you see it. That's more for the people who made it. :| (Me, I'm just not going to go see it.)
