Not really important but I'm not going to be around from tonight until Thursday night. My mum's off to visit my aunt so I'm home alone and my dog Kaneda hasn't been well so I have to look after him. I'm not going to be able to get online because I can't really leave him downstairs while I'm upstairs. I guess I can do with the break though -_-

But thank you to everyone who wished me Happy Birthday it meant a lot to me ♥

I also really hope that EA Games doesn't repeat what they did with Spore with it's '3 installs only then you have to ring them up for another code' for Sims 3. That's because I always have problems with it installing, it took me ages to get Seasons up and it won’t recognise my Nightlife D: So if you only have 3 times to register it’s going to be a pain in the arse. Okay I could probably get a cracked copy of it but I actually want to buy Sims 3 like a good girl (for once)

The "three installs" thing is ridiculous, though. If nothing else, it limits your user rights. You can't re-sell the game. You don't "own" the game, you're essentially leasing it under a set of terms. Imagine you have a music CD with extras on it. You play it on your stereo. You then play it on your PC to view the extras. You play it on a walkman in the kitchen while you're doing the washing up. Then you try to play it in your car stereo, and it won't play, because you've used your three "play zones". You have to ring up the music store and ask them to let you play it in the car. How awesome would that be.

I think they'll learn their lesson by the time Sims 3 is out as they have lost a few sales doing that with Spore.

LOL, EA has been getting so much shit about how they releasaed SPORE ... I really hope they won´t repeat that mistake. People were SO not taking that well. XD

I get why companies want to protect themselves against piracy (they don´t have a chance, but anyway), but they have to accept that strategies like these only turn people off.

I wish being away worked but I'm feeling more dejected and lost. My Birthday was nice but quiet, I'll be of to my best friends (I hope) next saturday so that's when the fun will start.

I know, they often forget their customers in protecting themselves. If only they could make sure serial numbers were original to the games in the box or something more simple.

I forgot to wish you happy birthday! ;_; I'm so sorry! That day, I was just really stressing out and forgot all about it. I woke up with the intention of making you a doodle and posting it for you but that was actually the day I had to go to the mental health clinic to see if I needed to get therapy for depression and stuff. -__-; So I ended up forgetting all about it because talking to perfect strangers about all of the problems in my life is like really really hard.

Dude what the hell? I'd never heard of anything like that with games. I mean, I can't even TELL you how many times i've deleted games off my computer only to want them back two months later.

I guess it might help me with the whole indecision thing though.

I think they're trying to do what some companies use for CD's in that you can't copy them but are taking it too far in giving the customer limited availability. I think they may change it in the future because they have gotten a lot of bad press for it and people haven't bought the game simply because the security is messed up D:

You have it right they only want our money and then customer service doesn't exist to them, so boo at EA :D
