Near thoughts
Apr. 25th, 2008 10:25 pmBeen reading the
near_and_dearcom's most recent post about what history people give their Nears and it brings up some great thoughts which I’m putting here as I’m sadly not a Near mun (only in wishes)
As much as I don’t think Obah meant it I do think there could be the possibility he may have some illness such as Asperger syndrome but I tend to go for that he either saw something, parental deaths maybe, that made him withdraw into his own world and at such a young age as it can affect how you relate to others. Yeah cliche but a possibility. The other thought I had for his past was that he had been abandoned by his parents, simply either just left or ignored or mentally abused. Some children know to help themselves but we all know Near has no ability (or want?) to take care of himself, and abandonment like that can bring a great mistrust of others as well as other issues.
The Near in my mind has always been an eccentric genius, most genius children feel cut off already because they have something their peers don’t have whether it’s great intellect or just plain talent. It’s something that separates them from others already. It’s said those with high IQ’s can have social issues because they show such an intensity of thought they can cut of the world. They can also be quite blunt with people as they fail to understand others aren’t on the same level so get frustrated and as such find other people’s opinions to be insignificant to their own. So I like using that with the Near in my head. Others may not understand him but he doesn’t care either way.
Erm yeah kind of didn’t want to post that in near and dear as my god coherency is not my friend today XD But I’m rather fond of eccentric genius characters which is why I love Near and the Wammy’s in general.
Not to do with rest of post but just realise I say things like ‘rather fond’ a lot, god no wonder Alex associates me with being a Brit. Funnily I have a Northern accent so don’t sound that posh only in writing LOL
PS: Insecurities 1- Lucy 0

on 2008-04-25 11:53 pm (UTC)That’s such a terrible thing to go through so young *hugs* I’m so happy you came out of it alright as you’re the sweetest kindest person I’ve ever met ♥ That must of been so much to go through, i have eczema but i would never have the courage to deal with that. I don’t think your weird at all in fact I think your quite similar to me (hope that’s not scary XD) some fail to understand people who come across as being different but we exist XD
My friends always look down on me because I'm the brightest of them all in fact they always get me to fix things for them yet because I'm shy I never get some of the things they can get so easily and they never understand that. So your not alone in your weirdness at all me dear ♥ If you are I am as well, mind you being a geek and different is really cool and awesome ♥
We look at the stars in wonder while most keep their heads to the ground and will never know what thats like :P
And god now I'm off on one XD
