I want to thank the lovely darjeelinger  for picking me to work with, it’s been great fun listening to her ideas, and she’s been really brilliant. She came up with some wonderful creative ways to pull at poor Eames’ mind, which really the whole picture was about. I’m fascinated by the idea of a forger, who really shouldn’t need a totem, loosing himself to dreams. It's wonderful twisty read, thank you so very much sweetheart ♥

Because I didn’t get to do any extra art this time, I made a little soundtrack for the songs that inspired me while drawing this piece, sort of as a tiny thank you.

ETA: Actual comment since I have caffeine now, derp. Seriously, I'm still totally in love with this pic. The textures are really interesting, especially the cityscape behind Eames - it has kind of a jarring newsprint feel to it, which works really nicely with the idea of that shocked feeling when you fall. And the birds, of course, I love that theme linking it all together as something not quite right, it's really cool! (Incidentally barn swallows are one of my favorite animals. :3 ) And and the blood smear on Eames's face and the way the Limbo buildings are so much more organic than the real buildings, and the way Eames looks so calm and basically the whole thing.

And the soundtrack! I totally see the connection, man, that's so cool! Awesome.

Gosh, your art is so lovely and wonderfully detailed! There's always so much to look at: the backgrounds, the birds and feathers, the pattern of Eames' shirt, the texture of the red curtain... I love the way you draw Eames, especially. ::swoon::

You know, when I first looked at the piece, my natural inclination was to read it from right to left! I think the eye is just drawn to the Eames panel first, so you needn't worry about that. :)

When I initially saw this, my eyes were practically glued to the screen. I thought it was incomparably beautiful and had no idea it was still a WIP. I mean, it was damn breathtaking.

Yet somehow you've gone and made it even BETTER. This amount of beauty I don't think my soul can handle. Just speechlessly drooling right now.

I absolutely love this visual narrative so much! The pencil drawings are exquisite, as always, with this beautiful sense of movement and momentum. I love that the birds and the feathers really help to unify the different panels and how you placed Arthur and Eames' bodies. I really adore the textures and the coloring! I love the idea of the mix as the extra. I downloaded it to play while reading the fic. It was good to have the visual prompt, the words and a soundtrack - makes it sound like I'm describing a film, lol. Having two out of the three is more common, but I have to say it was (unexpectedly, I don't know why) a satisfyingly holistic experience. Thanks for that. ♥
