Hiatus

I’m putting myself on hiatus again, I don’t know how long for. It’s just I’ve lost my ability to draw, or at least draw well. Everything is coming out looking like utter shit, it’s as if any ability I had has just gone and I’m in such a mood I want to cry over it. The last time this happened, I stopped drawing for 4 years.

Therefore, I am going into hiatus until I can fix this. This probably means I won’t be doing the Reverse Big bang which is perhaps a good thing as I have no ideas anyway. I was excited to do it because it’s rare I can come up with an idea that all fandom can get behind and people go on to create it. But I’m a shit artist (or at least I am right now) and this not being able to create mood is breaking my heart and making me no fun and it's not fair to hang around if I'm depressed.

Lucy I am so sorry that you have to deal with this. You are clearly an amazing artist, and I hope that you find drawing fun again soon-- but yes, if you feel that an art break would be the best, then we are here to support you and cheer you on. ♥

But maybe do you think you might consider just being on art hiatus, not being gone from LJ altogether? It's just, you know, I'll miss you! I mean you shouldn't feel pressured to interact if you would rather be alone, but... as great as your art is, you're worth more than the sum of your art, so I kind of wish you'd still be here regardless. But it's really completely up to you, of course-- most importantly, take care of yourself.

Sorry for the late reply hun, my net completely died on me yesterday ;_; I really do hope it comes back to me because I love drawing and I get so down when I can't create thing, have to get the things out of my head somehow or they crowd me XD Maybe being massively frustrated is what making things come out so bad. But i'll have a wee break and maybe see what comes to me at the weekend XD

Oh man, i'd miss you guys so much too, so no I won't be away from LJ for long. I'll have to few days to myself to chill and get myself out of my funk and i'll come back and be around to annoy XD And this may sound strange but it makes me happy to know you like me for me and not my art, sometimes I think my art is all I am online. Thank you Iffy ♥

*hugshugshugs* Your inspiration will come back to you, no fear. Sometimes a break really does help with these things. And you are not a shit artist at all, you have a style I wish I could draw and you do amazing colouring and graphics.

They so are, and i'm fighting through a really horrible one. The breaks helping though as i'm starting to get the itch to draw and that always means it's coming back to me. I just have to stop comparing my art to others now and I'll be good ;D Thank you so much Bunnie *hugs to death*

Oh, darling. I'm sorry to hear that. :( But I know that the best way to overcome that sort of rut is to take some time off, do other things, and then come back to look at things with fresh eyes. Thank you sweetheart ♥ I believe my break is working as I got my sketch book out to look over yesterday and I didn't hate what i'd drawn quite as much. I certainly won't be gone 4 years this time (that was such a low point in my life) and I actually I think i'll be back fully by Monday and thank you again ♥
