Oh Christ I do feel old when people mention the first anime they ever saw, or the one that made them go ‘hang on that looks interesting’ such as Pokemon, Gundam Wing, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma, Akira ect

Mine was this, Ulysses 31, worth a watch just to see how old it looks and god that dubbing and theme tune *dies laughing*

It was shown in 1985.....I was 10, holy crap.

It was the time of Transformers, Battle of the Planets, Dungeons and Dragons ♥ Jayce and the wheeled warriors and Jem and the Holograms(god I loved the 80's). I fell in love with Yumi the blue skinned psychic and their quest to finally get home because as bad as the animation looks now back then it was beautiful to me and I drew them all the time. I’m proud to say I was one of the first generation of anime fans in the UK ^_^
