I’m having a mega Godzilla sized art block (AGAIN) and when I have one of those I bring out the chibis, so have a sneak peek at chibi Eames I'm working on, the smug git! 



Also would like to ask as I’m so stuck on what to draw next, what would anyone like to see drawn? Therefore, if you have a fic you love with a scene that demands to be illustrated, push it in my direction, or anything Inception based you’d like to see in general really. Can’t promise anything, but I will see if my inspiration (which has gone poof) bites XD I do want to draw a short comic but I’m stuck on the story :( 

i guess I'm a bit annoyed at my art as my realistic and cartoony sides are fighting and I just cannot settle on what I like to draw best or what the best is, so it's all smushed together to create an evil block. My own fault for drooling so much at the fantastic Inception art i've seen lately. So I nicked this meme off Manda to bug you lovely people about it, don’t worry about any crit I luve it and I don’t bite XD

1. Ehm ... is it allowed to say everything? I like both of your styles. There's no "best way to draw", I think. And I for one like to see your "messy lines", it makes the drawing feel alive, but I also like the colored style of your "Arthur falling" picture.

2. Nothing expect for the fact that you think you fail at drawing sometimes. You don't. But I can understand you, since everytime I come up with PS-fanart/fanfic I'm proud of someone else shows me something that's bloody brilliant and I once again think that I can do absolutely nothing wiht PS/should stay away from writing. *le sigh* The thing that none of us fail at drawing/photoshopping/writing, just that there always will be someone who does it better in our opinion. It doesn't mean that our work pales in comparison, it's just different. There's nothing wrong with trying to get better, mind you, you just shouldn't let the thought of your work being done so far as bad get you down.
And now I'll stop trying to sound like a self-help book ;)

3. I can ask for self-indulgence, can't I? If so, then you should put Arthur/Cobb on your list. And lately I've been realizing that I adore Ariadne and Eames together. Or the whole team bantering in the workshop ... which I realize might be a bit too much and would take ages to draw ;)

I'll come back to you about my muses, have to think about that one first a bit more.

1. Aww you can hun and thank you <3 I’m so glad you like my messy lines and for saying it looks alive as I've been so worried that my art's been very stiff looking lately XD

2. I have such bad self-esteem when it comes to my art it really frustrates me and I know I'm a pain in the bum about it. And you're so right I think everyone had this 'grass is greener thing' where we look at others and think ‘wow, I wish that was me’. So many times, I have done that and thought ‘why do I do this when someone else can do it better’ and it’s a struggle to want to draw again. But it's like writing I guess, I love all the styles people have and their imagination, everyone of them. So I think my rambling means I should stop comparing myself and just draw and see what I can come up with.

3. You sure can XD I’ve actually been meaning to draw Cobb and Ari (and Cobb/Arthur too because I do like them too despite all the E/A lol) I’ve been working on a Eames and Arthur warehouse pic but sadly haven’t left room for the rest of the gang (I so should have) but I’m sure I can come up with another situation, maybe them all together arguing about one if Yusuf’s experiments gone wrong XD

And concerning inspiration ... often it's music that sets me in some kind of mood and the fic turn out to resemble that. Don't judge me, but I spent practically the first two weeks reading Inception-fanfics listening to this music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqPgbwHdn0A). I love trailer music to bits and pieces, and for reasons I can't explain this song always makes me think of Arthur.

I have to beat my photoshop into submission and I should have it all finished by this week XD

I'm completely the same, I always have to have my walkman on to settle down to draw. Oh heck I'm not going to judge you, i'd be judging myself then because I think i've really fallen for that music, it's beautiful. I have an image in my head of Arthur in a dream, all starting calmly and softly till he has to fight and run till it reaches a crescendo XD

Reminds me of the time I spent at uni completely under the spell of the Gladiator soundtrack while I wrote my dissertation <3

The Gladiator Soundtrack *-*. Mind you, I've never seen the film, but Hans Zimmer is probably my favorite soundtrack composer in the history of ever and "Now we are free" is a masterpiece.

And the picture in your head looks exactly like mine ;)
