Who let it be this hot in the UK? *sobs* I haven't slept in 2 days because the heat is just too much. Why yes Brits are wimps when it comes to having a heatwave on their own soil. We can go to warmer countries and boil to our hearts content but once it happens back home we're all dead from the heat D:

It's too hot to work and I have drawings to do, job apps to fill and a wall to knock down *passes out*

On a happy note  I'm all booked now to go to Edinburgh next month, I'm now very poor but I can go to Scotland and have fun for a few days with my mates, I'm so excited *boogies* I've been told I'm not to do my horrible Scottish accent or we'll be thrown out  LOL

I'm off to pass out in the fridge -_-

Question. How hot is it? I've been hearing how warm it is--while, in the area I'm in in the USA, it's almost unseasonably cool and wet. (I think we stole your weather.)

Right now they're saying it's hit 31C and is rising X_X

I think you guys have pinched our weather as usually it's overcast and warm right now not scorching hot. You're so lucky right now as it's horrible. We do kind of suck though because it's rare to have air conditioning in our homes.

*pulls up converter* That's around 88*F (for us). Wow. That is kinda bleh, especially if it's humid. (It's only 70*F here, thats about 21C apparently)

Ooo, I was wondering about that--cause we're so use to blistering summers, almost everyone I know has an air conditioner but the two or three Brits I've spoken to lately--they all seem very, very warm and I wondered if it just wasn't something a lot of people did--since it's cooler or whatever.

I'm enjoying having your weather. I hate summer. I mean, I get to miss the sun sometimes but the miserable heat is just awful.

It's humid, it always is unless you live by the coast, lucky buggers :D Your home temp is just perfect <3

It's the opposite for us we're so used to rainy days that we don't bother installing them in our homes because it's so expensive. Air conditioning to us is opening all the windows in the house in hope for a breeze, which is why you'll see a lot of roasting Brits right now :)

I'm completely in agreement with you there, I love the sun but times like this I'd give anything to run about in a rainstorm.

Wow, maybe I really should move to England if your summers are usually in the 70s. (Er. 20s?) That sounds about perfect to me.

Lordy, does it really rain every day in England? I have heard that it does. Our springs are like that--we open up the windows (ha, and repair all the screens and things) but in June, it usually starts getting awful and July is terrible and then August and September are really, really muggy. I live by a river, so it's always muggy where I am (though not as terribly suffocating as Louisiana).

Poor roasting Brits. I have this mental image of you sitting on little spits, drinking tea and grumbling in your sweatervests.

Bleh, I need to shove some of our weather through the internet. Our summers are always hot and humid--but last year and this year have been strangely goofy.

I KNOW RIGHT. Germany, too. It´s like an outdoor sauna everywhere. DX Let´s be wimpy white breads together! *joins you in front of the fridge*

Well, at least we get a chance to break out the summer couture? XD I can´t even remember the last time I actually wore a skirt.

Edinburgh sounds like a really sweet gig! I was in Scotland once and I didn´t understand a word of their English, lol. ^^*

We usually are between the 20's this time of year (oh conversion is so brain bending)so I'm sure you'd love it. Though English weather is notorious for being tricky, I guess that's why we talk about it a lot LOL

Well it's a slight exaggeration but it does seem like it rains a lot, last year it did that's for certain. I wanted the sun so badly and now I'm suffering for it :D I always think of US summers being hot this time of year so it's so strange how wonky both our countries are being right now. It is weird as it's usually me who's wanting to send out the rain to my US friends at this time.

Haha!! I think that image sums us up just perfectly, you'll have to add in our little red faces from too much sun and I'm still drinking tea in this weather LOL

That would be bliss.

I think we can beat our southern European cousins right now for holiday weather. And wimps unite, I can see Akane and Yuna laughing at us right now ^_^ *sends off lolly pops*

LOL! so true no more bloody jumpers, I HATE those itchy things. I have shorts on I'm sure I last wore as a kid, almost forgot I had legs *laughs*

I don't blame you as some Scottish accents are really strong, even I need a translation sometimes. It's going to be so much fun as it's their comedy festival :D

Heh, it's hotter than that here. >.> Not that I'm saying I enjoy it; I just got back from being outside and ick, the sweat. And it's a holiday weekend, so we'll probably be outside a lot the next few days.

Gah poor you, I don't think I could take anymore heat like that. I hate the sweat as that's what has me grumbling, I don't think playing Oblivion on my comp with the heat was a great idea. Hope you manage to keep cool if you have to go out.

It's, let's see... 37 here right now.

And thanks, I hope so! At least we'll try to go out mostly in the evenings and not in the middle of the day; we're not quite that crazy, though a lot of people are.

Oh wow that has me flabbergasted 0_0

Yeah that's always the best most intelligent idea. I wish people would stick by it here but you know that saying ' Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun' well it's far too true for it's own good :D I've seen too many red raw people from my bedroom window today X_X

That's (http://www.weather.com/outlook/homeandgarden/home/local/USTX0474?lswe=fort%20worth&lwsa=Weather36HourHomeCommand&from=searchbox_typeahead) essentially here. (If it shows in Fahrenheit, there's a button to click to make it metric.) Sadly, that's normal for here at this time of year.

Sunblock is your friend.

Texas just has to do everything bigger *laughs* After seeing that I think I'll grumble less and send you a giant ice block D:

You wouldn't believe the amount of people here who don't use sunblock *heads desk*

Haha, it's so often true. One might wish it did it less with weather. OTOH, when people elsewhere are freezing during the winter, we usually aren't.

I have to admit that I don't get that. I've had sunburns and they really suck; why not at least try to prevent it?

So you guys get horrendous heat in Summer and it's what we would call summer in Winter?

It's mostly just men, for some reason they have a brain block that makes them think red=awesome tan. When we all know it means pain and possibility of skin cancer. I can't go out in the sun too long because I'm pale as hell but I make sure to keep sunblock with me.

A little more true when I lived in Houston instead of Fort Worth (we were often in shorts for Xmas), but still, probably pretty close. It does get cold here in winter sometimes, but I suppose it's all relative - it doesn't get below freezing that often.

Heh, yeah, I guess I know guys like that here, though I think it's more that somehow they just don't think about it. (Or maybe they think sunblock is girly; I don't know.)
