Okay stupid Rp questions timez. Or noob strikes again.

 

Is there any where out there I can get pointers for being a better RP-er?

 

And are you doing really badly if you’ve never logged with anyone yet been in the com for ages. I want to do well with Matty but as always I have no idea what I’m doing, and I mean that I have nooooo idea D:  I always have my fingers crossed that I’m doing well but most of what I do is by trying to look at how others play and trying to emulate that. I do know I have to stop talking so damn much, geeezz my Matt is a talker and he shouldn’t be.  I mean now’s a good time to get him doing things but I’m not doing very well at that and well do you guys think I should push myself more? I still have my log fear and it’s such a pain to get round, but I know I have to get over that because if I don’t I know I’ll have to quit Rp. And I don’t want to despite my absolute terror over it, being a shy RP-er sucks but I wanted you to know I’m trying ^_~

I’m on the last month on Persona 3 .Oh I don’t want it to finish. That and I’m not powerful enough, fights shadows like hell.

 

Ohhh I’m off to catch up on sleep, it’s too hot and I hate my neighbours. I mean who blasts crap techno music across the street at 6am -_-

Gah, I have to leave in a couple minutes, so I`ll try to keep this brief, but don`t worry so much about your Matt! Whenever I read something from him, I can`t say it ever sounded wrong, or off, or anything like that, he always sounded like that cheeky, slightly cynical goofball you made him out to be. And who says that Matt can`t be a talker? Perhaps he`s anti social and secluded, but that doesn`t mean he can`t have a big mouth when he`s online? :D I think it fits him. ^^

As for the logs ... yeah, perhaps you need to work on that, I get that because I have a similar problem. ^^ The thing is to sometimes stick with a log, even if you think you sound wrong, or suck, because in 9 out of 10 cases you don`t. =) Pull through it anyway, it`ll help you develop! To be honest - I thought my first few logs in Econtra sucked ass (and by that I mean me, of course not the others XD), but it still helped to finish them, and it turned out people had fun. So it still helped my characterization, no matter how often I wanted to crawl under a rock. ^^*

Honestly, Lucy - yes, everytime you did post, I loved your play and your sense of humour. That goes for Gevanni, too, btw!

You know, Mello is heading out with Near to the Carnival right now, but after that - Mello/Matt logging? I`m up for it. =) You can feel really comfortable with me, I swear, and I`m a slow tagger too! :D

I'm afraid that I'm not a Matt expert, and he's such an open character that everyone tends to give him a personal touch. Personally, I love your Matt. I find nothing wrong with him (^^)
He's funny, witty, and doesn't whine or act like a schoolgirl in love.

I think that fear to logging and messing things up is a common occurrence. Just remember my post from yesterday! *Falls over*
So don't worry and just give it a try (^^) Nihil's small and friendly, so playing with friends is always safe for a start, ne?

I think it must be me then because when I read back on what I write it sounds stilted and not natural at all. I know my problem is I never write much so I find it kinda hard; I have to just go for it and hope I get better I guess. Aww I’m glad you think he’s a goofball, certainly beats being emo :P Yar your right with the talking I guess it’s his ‘trying to be cool’ net persona showing. I think I keep killing poor Zeda's Mello with his rabbiting, but I guess he’s just nervous because he’s a ‘zombie’ Mello in his mind XD

Thanks hon, I’ll remember that. I know I have a habit of thinking things are bad and just being too scared to finish them. I did it with poor Halle’s log and god I felt so shitty. I must remember it’s you lovely guys I’m playing with and you won’t hit me with a shovel and bury me for a few mistakes XD I need to stop being such a worry wart. I also look at your logs and think now way can I write that well, seriously if you could see my face reading your logs it’s like 0_0 I see no suckage from you*pets*

Weeee I’d love that so much. He’s supposed to off out at the moment also to stop Pharos playing with lightening, so after that it’s a date *thumbs up*. That’s if he’s still in one piece because well it aint safe out thar. That and Ci is going to kill me because I’m supposed to be starting the log but everything I write sounds poo, eeeek!!!

Hehe we’ll both be “remember that log we started a year ago, did we ever finish it?” :P

Aww *pets* Hope your embarrassment has gone down today. Yeah I love everyone in Nihil because they make me feel at home. Just bloody hell you guys are awesome. Like I said to Alex I worry too much about trying to get to everyone’s level when I’m a noob. I’m going to do it in baby steps though, the first of which is post more, then do at least one log and not think it’s crap and quit. If I even mess up I trust you guys to be nice about it so I shouldn’t worry, AT ALL ^_~

Aw, Lucy, as I told you before, I really like your Matt, but I know the feeling of not knowing where to start. When I first joined Sigil I felt insecure and I didn’t know what to do. I made thousands of mistakes as L and believe me; as Matt, you haven’t done anything wrong ^^

Anyway, what helped me to improve and get rid of the fears was Sigil B mun, who actually plotted with me. You just need one person to create something and start playing. Other characters look at yours, make questions, help or suspect your character. If he has a purpose, he’ll be easier to play. At least that’s what I think.

ANYWAY, Nihil’s crew is friendly and interested in plots. I’m up for plotting as well. Perhaps we can think of something together. L would appreciate a hacker <3

Look, if you want to try-out Matt's logging in Nihil and help get over your nerves, you can just log something small and goofy with someone? Like 'AU!Matt happens upon so-and-so in the hallway and they discuss cupcakes.' Something silly and simple and nothing to be afraid of that will break you into logging! Once the first log is done the rest are WAY easier from then on out ♥
