RP Question

I have a small problem that isn't good for a RP-er and it's the main reason I've not been RP-ing much...I'm scared of doing LOGS!!! I want to reply more in Nihil but I can't get over my stupid fear of doing a log with someone. It's complicated to explain why and even I don't know why I get really nervous about it (the Gevanni one was killing my nerves) I think it's because I've never been a great writer and am a little afraid of not really knowing what I'm doing in moving a log along. I read others logs to get an idea but they seem so wonderfully done and naturally flowing I always think I can't do that.

I think I'm getting the hang of 1st person comments so I wanted to ask if anyone has any hints they can give me to get over my stupid, stupid fear. Man I hate being a noob ^_^

Okay now i've been rping for years and i'm not exactly certain what you mean by "logs".

Do you just mean writing out a storyline? Like a story? Just like, writing a plotline back and forth?

See...I don't find it frightening at all. Never have. Unlike a lot of people, I have a LOT of confidence in the way I write so worrying about it has never been an issue.

My general guideline when rping is to always "do something" in every reply. Make sure that your character is responding to something they've had done TO them and make sure they do something that the other character can respond to. And keep moving the plot. I hate rping with people who refuse to "respond" to me. They make their charries meek and don't want to have to make the effort to actually DO anything or come up with any plot.

So yeah...just move the plot forward, always forward.

Yeah Logs are the back an forth story bit.

Oh your so lucky I wish I had confidence like you do, but you know me I worry about everything. Thanks so much you know you hit the nail on the head because that is the bit I have problems with. I know I have to move the story forward or it'll be boring but I get so nervous about maybe turning it into a direction people don't want. But like another person said I just have to ask the other player if I get stuck.
