Lolita question

I'm having to type this quickly as my net has died ( found out why AIM hated me, my net hated me XD) and I'm at my sisters hogging her computer *smiles at her* I was talking to my friend Yenny (the one who's getting into DN and manga) well we got discussing asian fashion and I said I loved Lolita. And guess what she told me she's actually designing Lolita like clothes for her friends shop and really wants to make her own, so I said I'd send her some pictures but I'd like to ask you Lolita lovers a favour also.

Could you give me any links to some great websites, communities ect that are great for Lolita, Gothic Lolita or even decora  (we discussed that too) fashions? Yenny want's to make some good outfits so I'm hunting out places she can get ideas. I've already told  her about Baby the starts shine bright, Putamayo, Angelic pretty and Jane marple, are there any other good ones to hunt out?

She makes me wish I had my old sewing machine. But maybe I can persuade her to make me an outfit with a friends discount *cough*

Also been trying to do that art meme Akane posted, hurhur god I'm bad. Akane and Ci are you sure you still want to do a doujinshi with me as my art is failing so badly *pouts*

Try the LJ communities for Lolita fashion, too.

Also, your friend could pick up the Gothic and Lolita Bible. It was released in english in late March, and is really thick and gives a great many examples of lolita clothes. I love mine.. I've had it for almost a month and I haven't gotten through the whole thing, and the pictures are really gorgeous. Also, it has a lot more references to other stores you didn't list here, as well as patterns for accessories your friend could use.

Looking at some now and WOW is all I have to say XD

I didn't know it was in English, stupid comic shop is always behind on getting the good books in. I'll see if I can buy it and drool :D She'll be very happy for the patterns as she's having a bit of trial and error getting the fittings looking right.

The best places to find dresses ideas are the shops you mentioned. I'm a member of the egl community in livejournal, but I don't like many of the things I see there ;;;
It's a matter of taste, maa. It'd be good if you found some Bibles scans, too (^^) (Japanese)

I'm afraid I can't work on my doujinshi until I've finished (or almost finished) the game (T T)
I can't make both at the same time, that's why I haven't started planning anything yet ;

Thanks, I'll send her those links then. I'm hunting out some Bible magazines on Ebay (it was her birthday so it's my treat for her)because she wanted them to be as close to Japanese designs as she can get.

That's no problem, I was just wondering if we were still going to do it. I'm such a slow drawer so I didn't want to let you down on my part. But yay!!! you must do more on the game*excited*

I'm kinda cheating by drawing chibis on the meme, but should be done by the weekend (^_^)
