Tried a new colouring style and erm I think I failed so sorry :(

EDIT: Oh my god rinnakins wrote me an abolutely beautiful and sad MN story, OH MY GOD I can't thank her enough. Coherency  is something I don't have right now *is in shock*  I now want to do more art as she's inspired me so much. MN fan's are awesome.

Whhaaaaaaa! Oh thank you so much dear ♥ you’re more than welcome, I'm just so glad you like it:D they break my heart too and I just got into my head that just once Mello would seek forgiveness and comfort with Near. An impossible thing but with those two I see no boundaries that can't be crossed.

Well it's the fact you’re so wonderfully yourself that I had to dedicate it to you, my spider sense says your an awesome person too XD

OH DEAR LORD, EXACTLY. Yes. Yesss. It's like-- those two don't have boundaries with each other. It's a beautiful thing; you don't ever really see that. But they're so much the same that they just... they can't draw lines with each other. Mello can hate Near all he wants, but he'll never be able to get rid of that connection. Oh my God it's horrible and wonderful, both at once. ;o;

That's one aspect I love about them that they have been brought up to be great rivals and yet they retain that connection. Even continents apart they still think of one another, they are like two separate parts of a whole being (a twisted one at that *lol*).

Ahhhh, set against each other in that harsh harsh competition at the Wammy's House, yet somehow they're still the same. ;o; God, I love it. It's actually very romantic, in a twisted sense. To go through all that yet still be unable to let go of one certain person... wow. Wow, really.

I loooove talking MN. I could talk about it for so long; there's so much between them that's so unexplored. It makes me really energetic, actually, haha~

The coloured version looks amazing!!! Mello's usually portrayed as cold and detached, so I'm so glad to see a needy side of him, a Mello who truly needs Near =^^=
That's how I see him!!

They's really beautiful together, no matter how dark and twisted their feelings are. They are simply beautiful.

Really? Oh thank you Akane chan that means a heck of a lot ♥ I was so worried I’d destroyed it with the colours as they went a bit messy, I have to do it with an ancient mouse so it’s a pain.

I wanted to portray Mello with a small dent in the armour around his heart and we all know that Near is the only one who can break that. That for one moment he could let go of his insecurities and find comfort in the only person who understands him. It’s why I love MN as the beauty and complexity of their relationship is so overpowering.

It’s been a great Mello and Near day as it’s been wonderful to see my two favourite MN people do some great work also ♥

I think everyone compares their Near to Akane's as oh god she's wonderful. But you write so well and play on his intelligence and need solve what's going on around him which I love, so give that confidence a kick :D

I'm the same with Sigil, Near isn't an option, it's why I'm doing Gevanni as I get to play with Alex, Ci and Akane. But seeing those guys play is just guh....I'm actually really nervous to interact with them. Some of the things they get up to there are either so sad or kill me with laughing XD

Ah your welcome, I love Near to bits so seeing him played well is always so cool :)I'll be honest from what I see about Poly I think they can be a bit harsh with what they view as OOC. I saw on Akanes journal about your poor Mello app and seriously I couldn't understand their objection, so stupid.

I'll have to try Sigil out and see if I'm any good as he'll be my first RP (taken me oh 5 months to get the courage lol) If I get the hang of him you never know I could play him in another com, GT would be fun as it's AU I could do a Gevanni who tells Near to do his own damn work XD

That's actually really cute :) I love the pose and their expressions Nears especially, it's so him to look away like that. You have to finish it and Aw Ci's always so sweet.

I wish I could come online :( AIM's been crashing on me every time I load it, for two days almost D: I hate my internet.

I don't think they're bad at all! I'm not nearly as much of an artist as I'd like to be, so maybe I can't see what you're seeing when you look at it; I dunno, but I think it's nicely done. It doesn't look stiff at all, but has a sense of flow and depth. What did you use, btw?

Thanks :)I think I just see the painting in my mind and get a bit frustrated when it goes on another tangent, but I guess that's what being an artist is about, experimenting :D

It's just done in Photoshop playing with the default brushes and their opacity. It was the first time I'd tried to get it like watercolours, because my real ones dried up :(

Oh..., I can relate to that, in part: I see some very nifty images in my mind, but they would never, ever come out of my pencil/brush/what-have-you looking how I see them because I have next to no mechanical skillz. Not exactly the same thing as you're talking about, but hey. ;D

Really, all Photoshop, huh? Hahaha, you should see how I color in Photoshop - hint: it looks nothing like that. >D Are you going to go for the watercolored look again, you think?

And yeah, stuff like that ruins way too fast. :/

*nods* It is sometimes like that for me when you get a really great idea but it just fails when you try to draw it. To be honest I would swap my drawing skills to be able to write as well as you can any day :D

I think I will it was fun to play with Photoshop like that and the best bit is if I mess up it's easy to fix unlike RL watercolours :D
