I hate working as I practically have no time what so ever to draw. It’s Mello’s birthday AND Christmas soon and I want to do something to celebrate, but I have only 2 days off in 3 weeks. Ah why are there only 24 hours in a day, maybe I should try the not sleeping thing ^_^
I also really want to concentrate on drawing more seriously. I’ll admit it I do procrastinate and it’s time I stopped that and did something with the Bachelor of arts degree I worked my arse off for. I really want to join these guys
Some of those artist I knew years ago (I think it was 94?) and to see them go do their own thing while I’ve sat on my hands from being shy and having no confidence makes me sad. Well it’s time I stopped that and just went after the things I like. I say this but I bet I’ll go back to thinking I’m not good enough. I blame my university tutor who hated my manga style art and would either rub out my work or draw how he thought it should look all over it. I started drawing like that since I was 10 so it was hard being forced to draw differently. But back when I was at uni manga and anime was only just trickling in so he said no one would give me work, which was rubbish as I got to be a graphic designer for 5 years because I’m a good designer or at least semi computer literate *lol*
Ah why does life never go how you imagined it when you were younger. Then again since I wanted to be a robot as a kid that’s probably a good thing (>_<)
On another note a certain Death note has been voted the top manga in the UK. I know it’s been out ages but we only just got the books in the stores a few months ago because Viz only just decided to bring them out officially over here. Most people imported them like me, so for something that wasn’t in the stores it’s doing well. It bested Bleach which has more advertising what with being on the telly and DVD. L was voted top character also (^-^)b
