I don’t know what to think of this really. It's by Madhouse so could be good, will wait till I see it before I grumble XD

Though can’t complain about more Supernatural and Sam and Dean kicking arse. Quite surprised how much Deans Japanese VA sounds like Jensen, he has his deep voice down XD Jensen was amazing voice acting in Batman: Red hood so can’t wait to see him dub the English version (hang on I may actually like a dub for once, the world may end )

Sam why do you look like Spike form Cowboy Bebop? XD And more to the question why the hell haven’t I ever done some Supernatural fan art considering how much I love it and how long I’ve been a fan?


I also really wish I wasn’t so shy… looks longingly at Inception fandom and the awesome people in it!

Never watched supernatural so can't comment on that but... is it me or does everything sci-fic/fantasy/comic book whatever seem to need to be turned into an anime these days? lol XD

Not it's not just you. I even think madhouse is doing a Wolverine and Iron man anime, it's so bizarre seeing Wolvie look bishy and skinny X_X

Oh yeah, the trailers for those came out aaaages ago. But I haven't seen anything since then. Then the Nolan!verse Batman films had the Gotham Knight short stories, Hellboy as well...

Yup that's true. Though DC comics still do some great in house stuff, god I miss Batman the animated series and Batman Beyond, loved the animation style on those.

Supernatural has a huge following in Japan so I can see why they made it into an anime.

I realize I've never actually seen the Supernatural anime trailer before, huh. NOW I HAVE. I'm curious to see the final product. I mean, I have a love/hate relationship with Supernatural, but still. EXCITING.

The problem with SPN - for me - is that I don't really ship anything. XD Dean/Cas maybe, but not exactly as a couple, usually. (No matter what those pics say.) It also hasn't been 6 years for me.. xD I got into it late, and the fandom is scary, so I stayed away.

Hair colour confuses me as I know he was blond in Dark Angel but it's such a light brown now X_X Mind you I was born with red hair and it's turned copper brown now I'm older (soon to be grey lol)

Yeah, haha. Same reason why I feel awkward drawing them. Especially Jensen's lips. :| Pouty men lips are hard. I don't even bother lurking, especially since I don't ship anything. I just watch the show and am happy with myself. XD (Or not right now, because I haven't seen 6x04 yet, because my laptop keeps crashing when I try. :D )

Oh gawd yeah, that's why Tom Hardy gives me nightmares, his lips are indecent lol I lurk for the fic as there are some cool stories, but yeah i'm in it for watching the show, it's one of the few ones that I have to watch and despite it falling on it's arse now and again I still like it (6x04 is a lot of fun and has Bobby, that's all i'm saying *zips lips*)

I have *counts....11 grey hairs, i'm getting there!!!! XD

Tom hardy is easier to draw than Jensen if you ask me, idk. :/ Might be the stubble as Eames.You can hide stuff with that. But I have trouble drawing lips on men anyway without making them look..girly, y'know.
(I'll watch it eventually. ;_; But I'm too tired today anyway.)

They are also usually way smarter than me. ;_; OR AT LEAST HALF OF THE TIME THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT SHIT I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT. But that might be because I don't read enough/missed out in education at some point because I'm lazy. XD But I suppose most of them are just dorks as well. Oh yeah writers just have such huge brains that I feels a bit thick too, the ideas people come up with and the tales they weave leaves me in awe. I wish I could write too, used to RP but I was so bad it was hilarious, could never write a story though so I'd swap my art any day to write the tales locked in my head D: But us artists aren't so bad either, we just learn to tell our tales through imagery and body language so we're smart in our own ways XD

Although I've never followed the SPN series (only watched a few episodes here and there), I think this is really well done. And it's a trailer, so the art isn't definitive yet (for you who squint your eyes at it). For all of you who think that everything is being turned into anime these days and don't quite like it (sorry if that's not the case; it's what I understood from reading these comments), just think of it as another(new) way to enjoy the series you love - the story and the characters are the same, the medium it's not.

PS_ It's true that the anime industry in Japan is running out of ideas, so it's only natural that they turn into the West for sources.

Oh sorry if comes across as not liking it being anime, did not mean to come across like that at all as I’m a huge anime fan myself. I’m very excited that Hayao Miyazaki‘s next film is based on a English book I read when I was a kid XD I’m just a bit wary because it’s Madhouse and they do have a habit of going a bit bonkers sometimes with canon material, I’m thinking of Death Note when I say that and a bishonen Wolverine. And your right, it has the original show’s writers working with a team of great animators so despite some discrepancies (Dean’s hair being black) I think it’ll be a lot of fun to watch as Madhouse are very good with horror shows.

*nods* I think it’s just a natural thing to go to the west (and the west to the east as well) and use pre existing characters as it does bring in more profit so they can use that to produce more original stuff. Plus there are a lot of Japanese fans who love Supernatural so it’s a great shout out to them too XD

I didn't know that Miyazaki-sensei was making a film based on an English book (but it wasn't the same with Howl's Moving Castle?). Which book is it?
And I don't know if I'm gonna watch SPN The Animation. I can't seem to stand horror series/films - heck, I couldn't even watch until the end the anime Ghost Hound (it was pretty tame when compared to SPN)!! D:

It's the Borrowers by Mary Norton about a family as small as mice who borrow things from the humans, there's a trailer on Youtube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXbPh_Jy4P4&feature=related and it looks beautiful XD (oh yes I forgot about that, plus there's Laputa which is based on a Welsh mining town too :D)

Yeah Supernatural can be pretty gory and creepy and it looks like there keeping it that way :(
