The Borrowers

I didn't end up going to my friends as I've been quite ill, still am :(  But in my fevered scanning of the net because I was so bored of lying in bed lamenting the fact I catch any illness going (*grump*) I saw this and it's so beautiful ♥

 

It's Miyazaki's new film -The Borrowers Arrietty — which was inspired by Mary Norton's fantasy book filled with tiny people. I loved that book so much when I was young and seeing Studio Ghibli bringing that world to life so richly fills me with joy ♥

I watched it the other day and I'm eager!!
When the boy speaks so close, both Arrietty and I had exactly the same reaction ;;
I felt shivers up my spine, and that alone makes me want to watch this movie. The trailer made me feel something.

Haha I felt the same way you did in that scene, jumped in my seat a little. I adore how Miyazaki even has his characters hair move in surprise. Everything about his animation is so fluid and the backgrounds are just AMAZING, they're so full of life XD I can't wait :D

Aye I've been feeling very dizzy and bleh, but been to the doctors so hope to be back on my feet soon and back on the internet proper XD Thanks Fern ♥

Thought it's set in Japan it's very much the British book. Aren't they amazing! I just love that the characters are really simple against those backgrounds, imagine having to paint those beasts XD
