loobee*Sigh* Feeling a bit down today, having low self esteem sucks badly. I don’t know if it’s me or I come across as a bit boring or an idiot (as my sis tells me constantly, the cheeky sod) but I find it so hard to make friends online. Part of me finds I have nothing of interest to say and I don’t think I’m all that funny, but I guess that’s my low esteem shouting. Making friends when you’re into new fandoms is so hard, I feel like a huge div sometimes surrounded by awesome people.
I need to stop moping and grow a thicker skin and just post and not be afraid, like I used to be *smacks self* Ah well in trying to keep my chin up I watched two great telly shows. Under cut’s for spoilers and the fact I think I’m the only one who reads my fangirling LOL
That was hands down my favourite episode of Ashes to Ashes. So many things to get your head around.
- Gene burnt the jacket, SAM’s JACKET!!! ;_; I could cry it was so sad. Though his pause looking at Sam’s picture before he threw that in the fire made me almost think he wouldn't do it. Damnit Gene what did you and him do?
-Ray's seen the stars too. such a cheeky little nod to the shitty, shitty ending of US ‘Life on Mars’ with him saying the astronaut bit. I think it was a red herring though as there was in interview with Matthew Graham before series 3 started where he said "in episode 5 Ray says something that we know viewers will be thinking, oh god there not going to, are they? You'll know when he says it, but rest assured we're not" He has to be talking about the US ending.
-Shaz and Ray, who have both seen the stars, sing Danny Boy. I actually thought the line of Danny Boy that goes 'If I am dead and dead I may well be' might be significant because they cut back to Ray and Shaz singing at the exact moment of that line.
- Chris has yet to have a Star or LOM moment. I’m really worried that something bad is going to happen to Chris, I adore that soppy bugger. Plus they get poor Chris to do the damndest things, body popping in short shorts and a crop top, losing at cards, stripping for Shaz. Gene’s "oh, sweet Jesus; I thought I’d seen everything." Sums him up so wonderfully XD
-Never has the Gene Genie been more enigmatic. He tells Drake what she's looking for doesn't exist and she needs to take a leap of faith. Urm a bit like Sam’s same leap maybe? We know he faked the crime scene where Sam "died". Then we had the scene to end all scenes where he shoots Bevan and tells him "the truth". Whatever it was scared the crap out of him. I get the feeling he was shown something rather than told, half faced copper perhaps?
-I felt so sorry for Litton by the end. The scene where Keats charges him, to Hunts outrage was really well done. His quiet "I'll be alright Kid" to his nemesis as he was led away was quite touching. Keats hasn't been this much of a slimy git since the opening episode where he bad mouths the team behind their back.
And it’s beyond ace to see Doctor Who back to being damn great after some okay-ish eps.
-Loved seeing the angels again, my sisters step kids are terrified of them and wouldn’t come in the room. They’re horrible things and I love that they actually got creepier than the ones in Blink, good job.
-Loving Matt Smith in the role, he really is quite mad and at times very sweet and human but equally at others angry strange and alien.
-Urm the second time when comes back to a distraught ‘blind’ Amy in the forest (the part where he kisses her forehead goodbye) why does he have his jacket on? The Angels clearly had nabbed that on the ship???????
-Is that a mistake or is the crack doing more than ending time? There was a big pause before he came back, could be another doctor from another time? (Much like you see young Amy waiting and hearing the TARDIS, most say that was her dreaming) I’m probably thinking too much.
-The guy who River said she killed, why do I get the feeling it’s the Doctor himself and if he can re-write time will we see the Time lords return? Well the mighty morphing Power Ranger Daleks have gone to rebuild themselves so I‘d like to see the lords come back.
-Amy trying to get it on with the Doctor was awkward, well for the Doctor it was LOL. Hun you’re getting married, behave XD
