Life in another fandom

So Life on Mars, getting back into this fandom makes me crazily happy. It’s both hilarious, moving, emotional, insane, heartbreaking and a thousand other emotions. Not only does it make you love a sensitive, anal retentive cop or to quote gene “the great soft, sissy, girly, nancy, French, bender, Man United supporting poof” But a Neanderthal one too, to quote Sam “the overweight, over the hill, nicotine-stained, borderline alcoholic homophobe with a superiority complex and an unhealthy obsession with male bonding.” But the rest of the team are great too, Ray, dorky Chris and Annie ♥

Plus me being born in 1975 it really reminds me of things I loved when I was a kid:- playing footy on the streets without being run over, everything being so brown, Curlywurlys, Lollypop ladies, Camberwich Green, Hoops for tea, The Test card girl (though she wasn’t so creepy back then)

I think this Gene/Sam shipmanifesto sums up better than I ever could why it’s so much love If you haven’t seen it dooo it 0_0

Plus i drew a LOM fanart which I'm happy with because John Simm may be talented and adorable but christ he's hard to draw - Kiss with a fist

Oh yes Yuna told me. I've been trying to find episodes as I'm really curious to see what it's like in Spanish :) I've seen the US remake and we'll it wasn't very good ;_;

They make me grin like a maniac. I swear I shouldn't like that they get into so many fights and that Sam is so woobie, but I do.

AND the fandom is so damn nice ♥ Also in the spring Ashes to Ashes will start up again and it's been said we find out more about Gene so I'm excited.
