So Alessandro Juliani is to play L in the dub...

*sigh* Am I the only one who wanted a soft British accent for L (and Near too) not a smoked 50 fags a day Canadian one. Contrary to popular belief most people raised in the UK don't have American/Canadian accents :P

Saw on the Telly that Winchester is the 2nd best place to live in the UK. Best schools, top grades, low crime rate and beautiful city. Those Wammy kids had it good (apart from the tests, rivalry, training to put their lives on the line, stress and Mello thumping a ball at your head)

I mused to vagrancy that a nice English voice would be very good for L. But subtle; him with a big English brogue would just sound silly.

In crackier news, we also agreed Near should be an Irish drunk and Mello a batshit insane German. (Aizawa is African American, Matsuda has a Southern accent, Hal has a kick ass black woman's voice. And Matt... well, he has the voice of a trombone like the Charlie Brown teachers.)

True, it would just suit him so well as I never see him with a strong voice. For some weird reason most English accents in dubs are ones that even though I'm English I've never heard anyone speak that way.

Oh god *LOL's like mad* Someone has to do that dub. Near's would be pure crack with that drunken voice coming from such a calm person. And Hal as Pam Grier's Foxy Brown *laughs* classic.
