Art post: The dino picture and a bottom XD

I know this was meant to be for the Reverse BB, but I truly don't like how it turned out, so i'm posting it here now. Sorry for letting down those who wanted to see it in the R!BB *grovels* I'm sure i'll come up with something cooler, sexier or heartbreaking *grins evily*

 
 

There’s just so much that didn’t work out like I imagined, and as a friend told me and I agree, it’s a bit boring really.  AND, what's anatomy??? *headdesks* I think I’m not handling all the BB’s looming deadlines too well and I'm rushing things. Come on Luce it’s 2 weeks, not 2 days you prat, keep calm and carry on XD

PS Is there any way you can load a big-ish picture to Photobucket without it shrinking it? It's about 1225 pixles in width, but PB keeps knocking it about 1150 now and it blurs it badly.  Thank you Bunnie ♥, i

Lucy, this is one of my favourites of your art. I mean, come on, DINOSAURS CHASING ARTHUR AND EAMES. How can it get much better than that? And you are so good at drawing action, with the grenade and Arthur's pose, and the dinosaur is genuinely fearsome, and and it is great. You are great.

Thanks Nancy ♥ I just wish I wasn't so scared of perceptive, and had draw them from the front with a MASSIVE dino behind them. I meant to draw more dinos here, but I ran out of paper LOL But less moaning and more, DINOS ARE COOL, and Arthur to be the one cool enough to lob a grenade is COOLER ;D

I think the dinosaur pic is great, that is one pissed of reptile :D

But I know how you feel about it being not good enough for the reverse bang, pretty much the exact thing happened to me to. I was all excited about the prompt I had come up with and now that I've actually drawn it I don't really like it any more :/ Why so indecisive, self?

That's how I feel right now. It's like no matter how great the idea is, what I draw never seems good enough. We're both probaly drawing really great things but just can't see it. I think it's the nerves of wanting to inspire people. I think maybe I should bug an art beta instead of hating on things (though I did check this dino one with an artist I trust.)

I'll have to try that because the pics so detailed it has to be quite big (and I need to show my BB writer what i've done). I normally stick with PB because I like to keep track of my art but it's annoying me so much right now.

Like a Jurassic Park angle would be good (you know the one, with the TRex running after the car) - with them running toward the "camera" and the dino behind them.

BUT LUCY, I LOVE THE DINOSAUR PIC SO MUCH ;___; I think I mostly just really really love Arthur in this because he's playful, and, well. The gun holsters. hnnnngh

You can prevent resizing by changing your upload options under 'Customize your upload options' on the upload page and have 'Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less)' checked. Unless your picture is so large that it's over 1mb in size, then.. in that case, good luck.

I don't know why I'm disappointed in it, but it makes me happy you do :D I think maybe it would have been better with an artist who's got a 'fun' style. *laughs* Arthur really is a cool guy under pressure, hes all gleeful and 'pffft why shoot it when I can use grenade'. SUCH OVERKILL DARLING XD

Omg the dinosaur one is awesome! I love how Arthur and Eames still manage to be somewhat composed while being chased by a motherfuckin' dinosaur. The dinosaur is sweet too (it's expression reminds me of some crack art I've seen of raging fangirls xDDDDD).

The likenesses are still definitely strong (IF YOU CARE ABOUT THAT, WHICH YOU SHOULDN'T, I'M TELLING YOU), the dinosaur is so delightful fkdja;fje;r OH MY GOD DINOSAUR and their outfits :') ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm sorry to hear that you thought it was "a bit boring", but then I think the desaturated look was a wonderful choice, it gives such a tongue-in-cheek sheen of retro humor to the whole piece that makes it so fun to look at! It's difficult to be always satisfied with your own output (though god knows you deserve to be) but in the absence of complete satisfaction, I think it says a lot about an artist that they can find ways to highlight other strengths in the work *_____*

Thank you Iffy♥ (I know I shouldn't but I had someone not realise another pic of mine was of Arthur and Eames so I feel a bit sore about that ;_;) I loved drawing that Dino, though it should have been many dinos. I did ask another artist opinion and they said I can do better so I felt it was that boring X_x I wanted the colours to look like the old 50's B movies I adore, after all the scene is right out of one ;D


I think as an artist I always expect too much from myself you know, and when I do not do that, I grow to hate my stuff. I do need to maybe ask people more or get an art beta who can point out the good as well as the bad XD


And oh god Iffy you have the BB posted ♥ I'll be late replying to it as I'm saving it to read tonight so I can lavish it with the attention it deserves ♥
